Content Standard:1.1 Pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.

Learning Standard: 1.1.3

Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs with guidance.

Objectives:By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:a) listen to and say the chant aloud.b) pronounce the words with the phonemes /m/ and /n/.

Teaching Aids:Chart, Textbook, Activity book, word cards, letter cards.

3.Teacher shows the pictures and emphasizes on the initial phonemes /m/ and /n/.

Teacher gets the pupils to identify, listen and say the sound.

Teacher recites the jazz chant and gets the pupils to repeat after the teacher.

Pupil picks out the correct word card and says to word aloud.

Remedial :Drilling of problematic sounds and words with the pupils.

Enrichment :Teacher gets the pupils to match picture cards with the correct sound cards.
