Final Draft: due 4/30. You may also turn it in early.

Requirements:

2 to 3 pages, doubled spaced, typed, Times New Roman, 12 font.

use parenthetical citations if you are unsure about how to format these, use the MLA Handbook on The Owl Perdue website

must conform to essay formatting (refer to the Owl Perdue Handbook- link is on the class web page)

you may use other sources in addition to the primary source for example, the article on Alchemy but you will need to include a bibliography and this will alter the parenthetical citations

rubric for the essay is attached

all pieces must be turned in: rough draft, final draft, notes or note cards you use (a must if you are using a second source)

if you have questions, you can set up a separate conference with me before school, after, school, or during lunch.

I am more critical of rough draft because that is where we do the most work for smoothing out the final draft.
