  • 2. What I've learned Writing  I believe I now how a much better understanding of he Writing Process and how it works. The process is much more than just writing.  Understanding who your intended audience  The context of ones writing is very important
  • 3. What I've learned  Also the style and clarity is important when writing  Avoid using biased language  Awkwardness  I've also realized that my writing needs to be more concise. I have a tend to go off on a rant. I need to take more of a business style approach.

What I've learned  Adapting to new technologies  Aware that devices and software can quickly become out of date Selecting the medium  With so many media and forms of communication available, selecting the most appropriate medium can be challenging.  E-mail  Memos  Letters  Instant Messaging  Text Messaging

What I've learned  Design and Visuals  The physical appearance of a document is important because if not the title, the pictures and graphics are usually the first thing readers will look at. It could be anything from:  Drawings  Flowcharts  Global Graphics  Graphs – Line, Picture, Bar, Pie
  • 6. How I learned It For example with the letter. Even though I was very angry I knew I couldn’t be to harsh knowing its not exactly the representatives fault. In this case knowing your intended audience. Also realizing after the fact that my writing needs to be more concise. In the letter I rambled on about unnecessary stuff.
  • 7. How I learned It  I became more familiar with the design and visuals only by creating multiple letters and memos. The classes text book also help me figure out how paper were to be structured.  The only way to fully understand design and visuals is to practice using them. Its like with most cases, the more you do something the better you become at it.
  • 8. Why This Matters  it matters because it is important to know how to construct different papers such as memos, letters, etc. just think how businesses would respond if someone didn’t know how write correctly.  The thing is you cant write as if you were having a normal conversation with your best friend when dealing with business writing.

  • 10. Using this in the Future  I will most likely have to use these new skills throughout the rest of my college years and even for the rest of my life. Having the ability to write in such a way could be crucial in the future. That’s why I will continue to really focus and try to achieve something that not everyone has. Without this I could see my self running into a few issues, and issues hold people back. I don’t want to be held back from anything.
