Slide 1Touching the lives of the underprivilegedTouching the lives of the underprivilegedAs individuals, we have been chosen to be the custodians of the world's resources. If we have resources, then we have a responsibility which means, as a corporation who exploits more resources than an individual ever will, they have more responsibility. We are being delegated by the universe to give with passion and intention. Intentional giving is dominant, and has an enduring, reflective effect. Therefore, the CSR causes pledged by corporates may wear different outfits, from helping the dislocated victims of tsunami, or breast cancer research, or women's rights, or livelihood assistance, or educating the differently-abled and underprivileged, a sustainably minded business in our community is devoting its energy to touch many lives. Touching the lives of the underprivilegedProfitability is the reason for any business to exist and is a fundamental responsibility of every business to its staff and workers. And at the same time, companies must maintain a clear understanding of the role of the wider community, the environment, workers and staff in making its business possible. Yet, several companies fail to acknowledge this reality.Once it is realized and embraces that benefit will expand as the business, and its social obligation widen synergistically and symbiotically. Most successful businesses achieve that success not due to the solitary effort of one or more individuals but due to the combined impact of its workers, management, the community and the environment. A gesture of thanks is therefore the least they should expect. That is the reason for being that humane businesses should adopt. The nature of companies is that they must compete with others and generate profit, the larger the better.Touching the lives of the underprivilegedTouching the lives of the underprivilegedOrganizations are redefining their corporate social responsibility platforms, as it is no longer a commitment that corporations feel they need to live up to, but has grown to be central to the business processes of many of the best companies today. A genuinely sustainable and fair way of doing business represents more than that of being a charitable foundation. This approach acknowledges that social justice and the environment are integral elements in any business process. Not as options and not as part of a marketing led Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy but as a core feature of the business objectives. Touching the lives of the underprivilegedThere is an unquestionable vibrant link between the performance of organizational leadership and the performance of the entire organization - and if done proficiently, corporate social responsibility can be a prospect for businesses to fortify their bottom line, do good for society and work to reverse some of the growing problems facing the world today. When a company invests in their community and thereby helping the underprivileged to improve their lives, it empowers their employees to do the same, and they can see returns across the board.Powerful brands have the ability to create a positive, long lasting social impact, especially when it comes to efforts that have been transformative, not just improvements to customary industry practice. In a world with an excess of social issues and business pressures, there is an incredible opportunity for companies to make a real impact. In fact, it's the eventual win-win.Touching the lives of the underprivileged
