Born on 30 July 1995 in Lviv, Ukraine, Dukach embarked on his athletic career at a young age, quickly rising through the ranks. His early promise was evident when he finished fourth in the boys' singles at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria, narrowly missing the podium by a mere 0.022 seconds.
