At the height of their career as a marquee signing for the Carlton Football Club in the AFL Women's, Vescio claimed the league's leading goal-kicker title in both 2017 and 2021, was twice named All-Australian and became the first player in the competition to kick 50 goals.

Rooted in the humble Victorian town of Markwood (near Wangaratta, Australia), Darcy Anne Vescio was born on 1993-08-03. They began kicking footballs at age five, played through the Darebin Falcons in the VWFL, and helped fuel their community's pride.

Drawing on Italian and Chinese heritage and a deep sense of identity, Vescio balanced elite sport with creative endeavour, working part-time as a graphic designer for the club and crafting the team's inaugural women's guernsey and pride kits.
