Jordan Burt

Relentless from the start, Jordan Burt was born on 1990-08-19 in Elkhart, Indiana, United States. He emerged from a dominant high-school career-in which he scored 20 goals and provided 16 assists as a senior-to join the Butler Bulldogs at college. Consequently, he played five years (2009-2013) at Butler University, developing into a dependable defender and midfielder.

Driven by ambition, Burt earned stints with several USL PDL clubs while still at college-such as Indiana Invaders, Rochester Thunder, Southern California Seahorses, Washington Crossfire and Real Colorado Foxes. He signed his first professional contract in April 2014 with the Carolina RailHawks in the NASL.

Triumphantly he joined the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (USL Championship) in 2015, becoming one of the inaugural roster members. Over seven seasons he made 168 league appearances and scored 23 goals for the club. Moreover, ahead of 2019 he was named team captain in recognition of his leadership both on and off the field.

Despite early skepticism about making a major impact, Burt's consistent performances-especially the 14-goal span across 2017-2018-cemented his reputation as a stalwart in the USL.
