Niccolò Salvietti

Behind every public triumph lies a private struggle; Niccolò Salvietti's remarkable rise was no exception, marked by years of fighting to break through in the amateur ranks. Born on 1993-11-03 in Figline Valdarno, Tuscany, Italy, he grew up under the shadow of his father, former pro rider Graziano Salvietti, yet initially felt peripheral in the professional peloton. He toiled through the amateur teams - Futura Matricardi (2012-13), GFDD Altopack (2014), Big Hunter Seanese (2014-15) - before stepping up to the UCI Continental squad Norda-MG.Kvis in 2016. Over the following years he rode for Sangemini-MG.Kvis and MG.K Vis VPM. In 2017 he earned selection for the men's team time trial at the UCI World Championships, signalling a turning point in his career. The real breakthrough came in 2019 when he placed 3rd at the Gemenc Grand Prix I, a rare podium that garnered wider recognition.
